    1. The infant class room (6 weeks to approximately 9 months) has daily curriculum based on individual care plans. Care plans are developed from information gathered from parents, whom are asked to provide information as to their infants schedule including nap time, feeding time, and play time. Teachers will adhere to this schedule and work the curriculum into the infant’s day.

    2.     The Daily Curriculum focuses on the following aspects of a infant’s development:

    3.     Physical: Children in this age range begin reaching for and grasping objects. Therefore, the teachers work with each child to promote curiosity and exploration . The teachers will also use exercise saucers, swings, vibrating

Language: At this age babies use crying and other expressions to communicate such feelings as being tired or hungry. The teachers respond to these expressions making sure the infant’s needs are met which helps build trust. Research shows that this trust will develop into an infant’s positive self-esteem. Teachers also spend time each day singing, reading, playing classical music and simply speaking to the babies helping develop their vocabulary and their social/emotional development.

Crawler Program

Our Crawler’s Program is a continuation of the Infant program. Crawler’s have a daily curriculum based on individual care plans which are developed from information gathered from parents, including their nap time, feed time, and activity time. Teachers will include this schedule and work the curriculum into the infant’s day.

Our Crawler’s room has a soft play area designed to encourage gross motor development, sensory stimulation, and socialization. Time will be allotted to include these activities in the infant’s day.
